What a fitting session covers
- Measurement — thigh, knee, and calf for braces; foot length and shoe size for boots
- Brace/boot selection check — confirming the product type matches your need (and your clinician's recommendation where you have one)
- Alignment — hinges positioned in line with the knee joint; heel seated correctly in boots
- Strap tension check — firm without restricting circulation (the classic two-finger check)
- Foam padding — for selected knee braces, optional 1mm, 2mm, or 3mm padding based on knee width for improved comfort and positioning
- Comfort walk test — a short walk and sit-stand check before you leave
What to bring
